About Huey Real Estate, LLC|
There are lots of brokers. Why use Dick Huey?
I am obsessed with waterfront real estate so you don't need to be. There is too much land for you to see it all. As Mark Twain said: "Learn from other people's mistakes. You will never live long enough to make them all yourself."
It has taken me ten years of data base research, half a million miles of driving, countless hours in the woods, a library of resources, a network of friends and other professionals, and the experience that comes from 25 years of national real estate brokerage experience just to find the best waterfront in the U.P. I learn something new every day. This expertise can be valuable to you when you want to buy or sell waterfront land. Click here for services offered.
The toughest question in real estate is "What's a good deal?" Land has qualities and attributes. People have needs and desires. When they match up it makes for the illusive "good deal". I am a matchmaker. Time and advice are my stock in trade. I sell information. If I understand your needs the odds are good I have the land you want or know how to find it.
25 years in the business has given me experience and practical know-how in lakes, streams, wild land, land planning, 1031 tax free exchanges, sales, and marketing. I maintain an extensive collection of specialized maps and studies of U.P. lakes and the people who buy them. To serve buyers I offer a national toll- free phone number, this web site, and advertise in expensive publications that bring proven results. Most importantly, I draw on invaluable people resources: contacts with timber companies, foresters, DNR officials, biologists specializing in lake sampling and fish stocks, local officials and many others.
If your needs are typical and you know what you want, finding good land is not so hard. It's what I do. In addition we have a U.P. Multiple Listing Service and I have access to everything that is listed by brokers. There is lots of beautiful waterfrontage in the U.P., and good news: Your money still goes further here.
If what you want is rare and unique, expect to pay a little and be patient. That is the nature of markets. I make a market in waterfront land. Part of the price of great land is being willing to look, willing to wait for what you want, and willing to act quickly when there is opportunity. "People who catch fish have their line in the water." To be successful you need to get in the game. No one buys waterfront land over the Internet, and no one should! Collecting reams of text and dozens of photographs is not your objective and just gives someone else time to tie up that special piece that "lucky" people (the ones that take action), own and enjoy.
The creme de la creme of anything is hard to find, and there are always buyers looking for it. If you want only the very best, tell me what makes you an exceptional buyer. Tell me why I should call you first. When I do, be willing to come and act.
My beliefs about the land and my approach to selling make what I have to offer exceptional. I encourage wise land management, sound forestry practices and innovative land uses that preserve wildness and beauty, and add value.
Thanks for reading this. Come see the beauty of the U.P. and help us preserve it!
